From the PTA Staff Appreciation Coordinator: Olson PTA treated the faculty and staff to Dinners By DeLaine V.I.P.s lunch and drinks for meet the teacher on Tuesday. DeLaine laid it all out for our staff with salads, baked ziti & delicious desserts. The teachers were fueled up to rock the evening at Meet the Teacher! 🦦⚾️Welcome back Olson Otters!

Otter Cheers for Science Night Sponsors & Volunteers MAJOR Otter Cheers for our Science Night sponsors & volunteers! We literally couldn't have done the event without sponsorship dollars from Robertson Orthodontics 🦷 🪥 And we can't thank the staff enough for stepping up to help out with all of the fun Science Night stations 🙏 🚀 Olena, the PTA Programs VP knocked another event out of the park (or rather, out of this world 😉), and we loved serving all of the Olson families (current & incoming) in attendance. The 2022 Staff Cookie Exchange was an absolute hit!!! Thank you to all our bakers and the donations that were brought in & our volunteers who made it all possible. The spread we had was so diverse and looked delicious! Special thanks to: MarketStreet (United 562) for extra cookies, Kim Clarke McCarty for wrapping paper for all staff, and Kendra Scott for the jewelry donation.
From the Council PTA Delegate, Monica Ramirez: Please help me in congratulating both Katrina Wallace and Olena Anderson for a wonderful job well done with the Fall Book Fair, Grandparents Night, and our Fall Fest. We had a great turn out and wonderful feedback from the Olson staff, students, and parents as well as our local community. Thank you ladies for all your hard work and time it did not go unnoticed!
Also, congratulations to Olson's subs Brenda Barth and Elizabeth Noonen on their November Citizenship Awards. Their willingness to help wherever they're needed and they both do it with a great attitude! Olson Elementary appreciates you!

HUGE thanks to Zalat Pizza Allen for donating some delicious pizza for the Watch D.O.G.S. Pizza Night Kick-Off last night 🍕 Be sure to keep them in mind for your next pizza night (they have Ben & Jerry's too!).
Our incredible Olson teachers were treated to a salsa & queso bar sponsored by Uncle Julio’s in Allen & Olson PTA. Uncle Julio’s donated 5 gift cards for our staff drawing. 🫕 The lucky winners were Ms. Thompson, Mrs. Jimenez, Mrs. Smith, Mrs. Grace & Mrs. Profitt. A little🧀cheesy🧀, but in “queso” you didn’t know Olson staff is the best!!!
Kudos & THANK YOU to the PTA Book Fair Chair Katrina Wallace for delivering 2 carts of Scholastic catalog products to 14 teachers, the library, and AIM last week. Each teacher received $100 Scholastic dollars to buy items for their classroom and she placed & delivered all of the orders! Wait until you see what she has in store for the Fall Book Fair 📚🎉
🥳 Thank you to the volunteers that helped decorate the doors of our wonderful teachers (Gallus and Burak) celebrating huge milestone birthdays!
🌟 Thanks to all who have made generous donations for Stock the Lounge. The Olson staff enjoyed snacks set up in the lounge to celebrate the first full week of school. 🎉🦦 There is still time to contribute here.
☕️ Thanks so much to the PTA Hospitality & Staff Appreciation Coordinators for organizing/setting up a Kindergarten Tears & Cheers event. Happy to report that the leftovers did not go to waste. They were left in the staff lounge for a nice treat on the first Monday back in school!

😋 The PTA treated the staff to Dinners by DeLaine for lunch the day of Meet the Teacher! DeLaine laid it all out beautifully and also donated a gift code for a full size meal. The lucky winner was our registrar Terri Rosales!
🎨 From the PTA President: THANK YOU to the dozens of adults & students that helped Deck the Halls of the entire school for 3 days before the year began. All of the staff were so appreciative!
📦 From the PTA VP Fundraising: THANK YOU to the handful of volunteers that spent 5 hours delivering 234 pre-ordered school supply packs to classrooms and 5 more hours sorting/folding/delivering 194 pre-ordered field trip shirts. You set so many students up for success!
